Dorm Organization Essentials

Living as a boarder is very challenging sometimes, especially with the lack of space provided. There are ways to work around the small space to keep your room organized. here are some tips: Hanging Shelves if you’re lacking drawer space but have plenty of closet space like me, put hanging drawers in use. they’re sold basically everywhere and are pretty affordable. plus, they add temporary shelving to your room. If you get bored with them or don’t need them anymore hanging drawers also have simple removal. hanging shelves Clear Storage Boxes It’s easier to stay organized when you contain all your stuff. Clear plastic containers store your stuff, but also lets you know what’s in there so you wouldn’t forget what’s in there or need to search through multiple boxes to find your stuff. clear plastic storage boxes Push Pins Not only do hold up pictures but they can also be used to hang you jewellery, it be necklaces, rings or bracelets. It’s a good way to use an empty wall as storage and visualize your jewellery. If i cant see my jewellery i never wear it. push pins (jewlery)   Drawer Organizers Drawer organizers are a good way to keep your dresser drawers organized. They section off each area of the drawer making it easier to find the stuff you’re looking for. drawer organizers Hope these tips help you out!

Workout Playlist

Need to get back into your workout grove? After a vacation and two weeks of just being lazy I’ve gotten really out of shape. A workout routine takes dedication and motivation as well as some pumped up music. Whether you’re doing intense weight lifting or light cardio a good workout playlist is key. Here’s my workout playlist to give you guys some inspiration. Take in mind though that plan the number of songs in your playlist based on the time spent working out. Don’t make a two-hour playlist for a half hour workout of a twenty-minute playlist for an hour workout. My playlist is about an hour and a half long which is good because my workouts are usually from forty-five minutes to an hour and a half. Remember to work hard and never stop trying. Have Fun!

Airplane Essentials (Domestic Flights)

I tend to travel a lot, especially between school and home. Travelling is a pain without the right essentials. Hope these ideas and tips can help you with your next flight. Take in mind these tips are for travelling shorter distances. If you’d like a post for international or overnight flights comment below.

Headphones and Device to Listen to Music (iPod, phone)-

Some airlines or smaller flights don’t have screens to watch movies or tv. That means you need other means of entertainment. I usually have a playlist for calm songs incase I’m tired and want to sleep.

Coffee or Apples for Early Morning Flights-

Once in a while you get those 4am or 5am flights. I sometimes have places to go after my flight so I need something to wake me up. Apples are a good substitute to coffee because they have caffeine as well to wake you up without the coffee breath.

Snuggie or Blanket-

Airplanes get really cold. Bring a small blanket incase you get cold. Big blankets will just consume the space in your carry on bag. I like to bring my snuggie because it’s compact and keeps my arms warm as well.

BB Cream and Lotion-

I don’t wear foundation on flights because the airplane air just dries out my skin. Use BB Cream if you still want coverage on your face. Also, since the airplane air dries out the skin so much it’s nice to carry a small lotion in your bag to replenish skin of its moisture.

Compact Hairbrush-

Full size hairbrushes are just annoying to keep in your bag. The bristles get caught on things in the bag and it takes up needed space. A compact hairbrush will be a good investment for people who travel often. No more getting stuff caught on the bristles and some even have a mirror for double use.

Mini Hand Sanitizer-

There’s no reason to not bring a hand sanitizer. Crowded areas have a higher chance of carrying diseases. I always have a Bath and Body Works mini hand sanitizer in my bag. Not only do they kill germs, but they smell amazing.

That’s it for the my airplane essentials. Have a safe flight!

February Faves

I though since March rolled by so quickly that I’d do a February Favourites. I have beauty favourites, fashion favourites, movie favourites (obviously) and most importantly food favourites.

Beauty Favourites-

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream-Last month I had my first try of BB cream. I got the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream and was amazed. I’ve always had problems with dry skin and since BB creams moisturize as well as cover up this was perfect. This product is oil free and doesn’t leave my skin dry. Though the coverage isn’t the best I’ve had, it’s decent for the price. This product definitely deserves a thumbs up.

Marc Anthony Oil of Morocco-I’ve been using the Marc Anthony Oil of Morocco Set for a while now and I think it deserves a shout out. The set comes with a shampoo, conditioner and oil treatment. Honestly, this product makes my hair feel soft and silky while getting rid of the tangles. For some people the scent takes some getting used to, but in general the trio does wonders.

Mariah Carey OPI Holiday Mini Nail Set-My roommate got me the Mariah Carey OPI Holiday Mini Nail Set for Christmas. I  forgot about it for a while but two days ago, when i tried two of the colours, I was amazed. The set came with a black (that i gave away because I don’t like black nail polish), a glittery blue called “Kiss Me At Midnight” and a glittery white called “It’s Frosty Outside”. Unlike many glittery nail polishes I’ve used this polish has unbelievable coverage. There’s no need for multiple coats, just one is enough. I’ll need to buy the full sizes if there still being sold (let’s cross our fingers on that).

Food Favourites-

Eat More Bar-Lately I’ve had a weird obsession with Eat More Bars. The response I’ve gotten from other people is 50/50, half love it, half hate it. Peanuts covered in dark chocolate toffee would enlighten anyone’s day.

Movies/Music-

From Prada to Nada-This movie was talked about in my Chick Flicks on a Saturday Night Post. It started as one of those movies on Netflix that seemed overly cheesy, but when I actually watched it I fell in love. It’s funny, romantic and somewhat realistic. I suggest you all to go on Netflix and watch this movie.

Drunken Love-Beyonce never fails to impress me. Her song Drunken Love is one of my favourites.

Darkhorse-I’m always a big fan of Katy Perry. Her new song Darkhorse sounds nothing like her usual songs but I love it.

Spring Break Here I Come!

It’s that time of the year again. Getting out of your sluggish winter routine and get ready for warmer weather (aka SUMMER). Also, some of us might want to prepare for that spring break thats coming up or some of us might being getting an early start on that summer body. Whatever the reason, this workout is quick and gives a good core for a bikini bod. Work Hard Ladies!
